Monika M. Woolsey, MS, RD, Chief Design Officer, is a nutritionist and exercise physiologist with 34 years of experience in nutrition and fitness counseling. The author of Eating Disorders: A Clinical Guide to Counseling and Treatment, she received her bachelor’s degree in nutrition from Cornell University, Ithaca, New York, and her master’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
A registered dietician, Monika spent years working with women facing the challenges of eating disorders and PCOS. She had a growing desire to create a business that modeled a truly healthy relationship with food, one that didn’t center around talking about the behaviors in need of changing.
Hip Veggies, focused on promoting locally-grown produce, supporting local artists, and raising money to help people struggling with the basic need for food, is that business.
